Your readers/listeners love the Immortal Guardians series and cannot wait to see what

you have in store for us in ROGUE DARKNESS. What is one scene that has stuck with

you from this series as a whole?

The one scene that immediately comes to mind is one in DEATH OF DARKNESS that fans of

the series call “THE SCENE: You know the one.” It’s a doozy, and it really caught everyone off

guard. So it may surprise fans to hear that I foresaw that scene back when I was writing the first

book in the series. That was always how I imagined the final showdown in the first series arc

culminating, and I knew it would happen in Seth’s book.

BUT… there is also a scene in ROGUE DARKNESS that now stands out just as much for me.

You’ll know it when you reach it and Seth (the immensely powerful leader of the Immortal

Guardians) says, “That was a first for me, by the way. I have never in all of my long existence

had to rescue an immortal who __________” I won’t spoil the surprise. ;-)

Ooh, you're cheeky and I love it. Now you have me curious, and quite eager for this scene! No doubt your readers and listeners are thinking the same thing. Let's continue.

We know that you enjoy Stephen King's novels, so other than his book On Writing,

what book or books from this prolific writer has inspired your creativity?

THE STAND was the first book I read by Stephen King, and it continues to resonate with me.

I’ve always loved end-of-the-world, apocalyptic fiction. And boy, did he bring it with this one. The

language, the character development, the fascinating journey… I loved it all.

The mind of an author is absolutely magnificent. 

Other than your readers/ listeners, who else is a big supporter in your writing journey?

My family. They have been unwaveringly supportive, cheering me on every step of the way.

If I need extra time to meet a deadline, they make sure I get it. On the flip side, they also ensure

I get the family fun time I need to keep from stressing and stay healthy. They celebrate each release with me, applaud every great review, and remind me when I start to worry right before a

book releases—hoping fans and new readers alike will enjoy it—that I ALWAYS worry right

before a book releases. LOL.

Most importantly, they make me laugh and inspire a lot of the humor you’ll find in my books. I

wouldn’t be living my dream without them.
