Ava has always been different. The Purveli, book 3 in the Aldebarian Alliance Series is one of those books you will not want to put down! Space, aliens, battle, and kick-ass characters who make us readers fall in love with them; it's all thanks to the true Captain and author of the ship, Dianne Duvall. Might I say, this is one amazing creation Captain!
Ava and Jak'ri's story is sweet, it's a lot of work, laughs, tears, and sticking together that keeps them strong even in the hardest of times. After reading book 1 and 2, I was excited to see just how Ms. Duvall would incorporate a unique styling of aliens into the main storyline. The Purveli was perfectly executed and more than I could ever imagined!
This series needs to be a movie!
Kirsten Potter is the narrator for many of Dianne Duvall's books, so we know in a sense that the characters will have their own unique tones and shapes to the words on the page. Ms. Potter takes a 2D creative process, adds a dash of her special narrating magic, then gives us Listeners an adventure we all will enjoy in her rendition of this story.

-Just finished a 2nd listen to The Purveli and enjoyed Ava and Jak'ri's story immensely! We knew from their interactions in The Segonian they grew close to one another, but the question of "what happened", how Ziv'ri was connected to them, and how things would play out whilst Eliana searched for Ava and the others.
This story tells us of two battered souls, beat down by a common enemy, facing life and death, finding an escape through it all, together.
These characters are genuine and highly motivated in their quest to survive, to protect, to love. That's what a love story is all about.
Well done Dianne Duvall !
